Dr. Covert pays attention to more than just the condition being treated. He heeds the person and includes the person in the process of care. I value his competence and medical knowledge very highly. But, possibly, even more, I value his respect for the human being in his care, and the way he welcomes information shared with him by his patient of what that patient is experiencing.
