My husband was almost non responsive at home on February 3rd this yr. Rushed to ER and Dr. Koudoumas was called in to remove what was found to be massive blood clots in my husband's lungs. This doctor is straightforward but compassionate and according to some physician friends and nurses in ICU, highly skilled. He came to see me in my husband's room after the surgery and brought me pictures on his phone and explained to me each picture and the collection of clots removed. He looked exhausted. He had been doing surgery since that morning. My husband's surgery was 3 hours late due to a patient with a more difficult case so Dr. Koudoumas didn't get my husband in the OR until a little after 6pm. Surgery took longer than expected as well. I truly feel we were blessed with the right surgeon. I'd recommend him ANY DAY!
