Dr. Deborah Elaine Farr is exceptionally talented and the epitome of compassion, kindness, and grace. I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy at age 29 due to the BRC1 gene that dramatically increased my breast and ovarian cancer risk. I am so grateful and consider myself incredibly lucky to be in her care through this terrifying and life-altering procedure. When I was scared, she was comforting. When I had hesitations, she was reassuring, and her confidence alleviated my stress and anxieties. I participated in her clinical trial, where she used the robot for my procedure. I am happy to report that one-week post-surgery, at my first post-op check-up today, I learned that I had retained full sensation in both breasts, and I could do 90% of all the things I could do before my surgery. My healing has been better than expected. Other than minimal soreness, I've had 0 pain at the site of my incisions, and I feel pretty good. Thank you, Dr. Farr, for taking such great care of me.
