David M. Slovik, M.D., is an endocrinologist who specializes in the treatment of osteoporosis and other bone diseases. He is Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts, a member of the Endocrine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He was previously Chief of Medicine, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston. Dr. Slovik earned his bachelor's degree from Boston University and his medical degree (summa cum laude) from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He did his internship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York, spent two years with the Indian Health Service, and then completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Slovik is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and in internal medicine. Dr. Slovik is a practicing physician who also teaches at Harvard Medical School.
