About Me

Care Philosophy

  • Dr. Bowers received his medical training through Marshall University followed by a full Internal Medicine residency through West Virginia University. He then completed his Ophthalmology training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Bowers received dual board certification in both Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology and now specializes in advanced laser cataract and Lasik eye surgery. He's been involved with ophthalmic medical missions to Honduras since 2005 and helped establish the faith-based non-profit organization known as Health In Sight Ministry of Roatan. Dr. Bowers is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. Currently, he serves on the editing subcommittee for the American Academy of Ophthalmology Basic & Clinical Science Course publication.
