My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Berger a couple of years ago when my A1c was 14 and he's so kind and gentle and understanding and loves his patients and doesn't make them feel like lesser humans because they're fat and let their diabetes out of control. Now today I wear a CGM and my last A1c was 6.5, and I'm down 54 pounds using insulin and diet. He inspires me to want to take control of my diabetes and I did. His staff are excellent and he's the first endocrinologist I've had where I felt loved and cared about and not scorned or judged.
