About Me
Care Philosophy
- I was always interested in physical fitness and sports since playing travel ice hockey as a goalie since I was 10 years old. When I started college at Binghamton University I did not know what career path I wanted to follow, but enjoyed psychology in Highschool and pursued a bachelor's of art in Psychology. While at Binghamton University I began working at the campus rec center as a group fitness instructor and then also pursued a minor in health and wellness studies. Throughout majority of my college career I was still undecided on my future profession then in winter of 2015 I went skiing and suffered a shoulder injury. I began physical therapy to rehabilitate my shoulder. As a patient I was able to observe the clinic and decided to begin shadowing my physical therapist and fell in love with outpatient physical therapy. After graduating Binghamton with my bachelor's I went to Middlesex and Rutgers to finish my prerequisites for Physical Therapy. I was then accepted to Rutgers University and quickly became interested in earning my board certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) title. I am now in the Orthopedic Residency through Professional Physical Therapy/NYIT on track to sit for my OCS in March of 2022. I look forward to continuing to enhance my career and my clinical skills to better assist my patients in their rehabilitation goals!
