Patient Reviews
Oct 28, 2017
I was 25 in 2008 when Dr. Shank was working at Mount Carmel West, Columbus, Ohio. I was in a MVA, where I was ejected from my Jeep and landed 50ft down, off the freeway. I shattered my hip,& pelvis,& had other traumatic experiences due to this accident. Anyother doctor would have just replaced my hip, but his forward, creative thinking put my hip back together with plates &screws, which, so far, has prevented multiple hip replacements that would have followed due to my young age. I'm so thankful

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
