I was watching a story about , infant and maternal mortality and how 3 in 4 deaths are African American women. So I wanted to to share an experience I had with an awesome OBGYN. One of the key factors to prevention of such a devastating tragedy is ensuring that you choose an OB/GYN that you feel comfortable with and develop a great relationship with. Almost 20 years ago, I gave birth to my second child, and Dr. Wigs was my OB/GYN . Throughout the process he was kind caring, and any questions I had he answered . Dr. Wigs, his nurse and the entire staff were the best ever. I was scared and some times depress their caring spirts and reassurance that everything was going to be ok was very comforting. I had some complications-during delivery and it required a C-section. After my son was born, his nurse came to the hospital and visited and everyday until I checked out Dr. Wiggs checked on us as well. I could not ask for a better doctor he was a God sent. I will forever be grateful.
