Dr. Hurley treated me when I was a teenager, and I'd like to thank her for being more perceptive than most adults in my life were. I had been being severely abused, and she must have spotted the signs and asked if anyone had touched me. I denied it and started crying and was even angry with her over it, and she scheduled me for a therapist. I treated the therapy appointment like an interview and it was over in probably less than 5 minutes, but Dr. Hurley was right to question the way she did. Just wish the therapist had been as perceptive. My mom of course switched doctors for me after that though.
