About Me
Care Philosophy
- Dr. Carrie Luu performs complex cancer surgery for patients with pancreatic, liver, and bile duct cancers. She specializes in gastrointestinal malignancies such as gastric and small bowel cancer, as well as cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC (Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy), an innovative treatment for complex abdominal cancers. Her research interests include outcomes in hepatobiliary/pancreatic and gastrointestinal surgery, and minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Dr. Luu is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American College of Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons, the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. When not treating patients, Dr. Luu enjoys walks with her English bulldog.
