Doctor Brian Larsen Thank you very much to you and all the staff in your office.And also with Doctor Sonia Bamba and all the Nurses and Doctors who worked with you during my eye surgery .Now i can see the things around me and easily read the letters in Computer at work and easily recognized and greeted the people coming on my way.God bless you dear Doctor Brian.

- Our patients show such strength and courage every day says Brian Larsen Social Worker at Cancer Treatment Centers of America CTCA Chicago and a key member of the hospital s Survivorship Support team It s an honor to be part of their journey Larsen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Michigan State University in 2005 He completed a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago in 2008 His training included a Therapy Practicum with the Chicago Christian Industrial League a nonprofit organization serving homeless men women and families in the Chicago metropolitan area He provided crisis therapy and weekly sessions with individuals and families He also completed a Community Service Practicum with ChildServ an organization serving at risk children Larsen has worked as a mental health counselor in numerous settings From 2008 to 2013 he worked with a large behavioral health facility in Illinois as Mental Health Counselor Senior Clinician and Case Manager In each of these capacities he worked with patients coping with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties From 2013 to 2014 he was Practice Manager at a private behavioral health facility where he worked with a team of mental health professionals providing care in long term health settings In 2014 Larsen joined CTCA as a Social Worker He has focused on both social services and survivorship He provides counseling for patients and families aimed at helping individuals gain a sense of control and well being The counseling I provide is about helping patients move from feeling like victims of an illness to feeling empowered to address whatever needs to be addressed in their lives says Larsen When he is not at CTCA Larsen enjoys spending time outdoors and playing sports He is an avid golfer
