I was referred to Dr. Skiver at the Asheville Messino Cancer Center for a Myeloma indicator from a biopsy taken during an unrelated procedure. During my initial consultation he clearly explained the various possibilities from the previous biopsy and the labs and tests that would needed to more fully diagnose my condition. He spent a great deal of time discussing everything with my family and I making sure all our questions were answered. Following that initial appointment he called on a Saturday to discuss the initial results from labwork at that initial consult. I have since seen Dr. Skiver on two more occasions and had multiple phone calls with him. Fortunately, I did not have myeloma though I did have another blood imbalance that needed to be addressed. I would strongly recommend him as he is one of the best doctors I've been treated by and inspired confidence throughout my experience under his care.
