Hes fluent in Spanish and Russian as well as English, enabling him to better assist patients from a variety of backgrounds in the New York City area.Dr. Chusid earned his doctorate of medicine from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He then relocated to New York City, completing an internship, residency, and fellowship in gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where he still maintains privileges.A highly skilled gastroenterologist, Dr. Chusid has an undeniable amount of experience in diagnosing and treating a broad array of gastrointestinal diseases and disorders, including diarrhea, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hemorrhoids, hepatitis, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).His tireless work ethic and passion for his trade have led him to perform more than 35,000 endoscopic procedures over the course of his career, with a particular emphasis on colonoscopies, hemorrhoid ligations, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), difficult polypectomies, and upper endoscopies.Dr. Chusid approaches patient care with the same sort of diligence that hes applied to his career. He sees every patient as a unique case and makes sure everyone he sees receives compassionate and individualized care based on an in-depth evaluation and review of their physical health and past medical history. He uses the most advanced diagnostic techniques and minimally invasive methods to achieve optimal results for each patient. Above all else, Dr. Chusid ensures his patients are informed and comfortable, and that they leave his office in prime health.
