I was hesitant to see someone who focuses on EDS. I was not sure of my diagnosis, and have been dismissed by so many doctors. PRISM Spine and Joint and Dr. McIntosh made me feel comfortable from the jump. I have now been a patient for six months, and everyone here is so understanding. I did not even realize how often I apologize for my emotions until one of the therapists pointed it out. Even the waiting room has dampeners on the fluorescent lights and comfortable chairs. I get dry mouth when I'm nervous and they have tea with local honey. The first appointment was a little overwhelming. Dr. McIntosh has made it so much easier by explaining everything in detail, offering to do additional appointments just to talk things through if I want, and by treating me like a real person. We will sometimes laugh at the ridiculous parts like I just walked into something and now need advice. I'm finally getting better instead of worse, and finally feel safe asking for advice. 5 stars!
