Dr. Palestrant performed my Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) in November of 2011. My Obgyn wanted to perform a very invasive hysterectomy that would require a blood transfusion (I was anemic due to heavy periods). I was extremely scared so at my husband’s recommendation I set out to find an alternative to the hysterectomy and that’s when I discovered UFE on a government site. Then I set out to find a doctor to perform the UFE, I asked my Obgyn if she could recommend someone but she stayed silent. So I looked online and found Dr. Palestrant, he was a rare find in 2011, but thank God because he was the best! One thing that I’ll never forget that he stated on my first visit was “you’re going to regain your quality of life.’ I didn’t understand that statement until a few months passed after the UFE. I was free of pain and heavy periods. To this day, June 9, 2019, I continue to reap the benefits of the perfect UFE performed by Dr. Palestrant. Thank you Dr.Palestrant!
