I went to Dr. Carminucci with pain in my knees, hips, lower back, and lower legs. I had the pain for three years, but it got so bad I could no longer run and had trouble sleeping more than 90 minutes at a time. I got a MRI and it showed a herniated disk and stenosis that was putting excessive pressure on my spinal cord and nerves. Dr. Carminucci recommended a laminotomy. When I woke up from the surgery, all of my lower body pain was gone. It has now been eight weeks since the surgery and I am running again. I am eternally grateful for this surgery to eliminate my pain. I am a very active person and now can do almost anything. As for the surgery, everyone at Overlook Hospital was fantastic. The nurses were so kind, friendly and helpful, as were Dr. Carminucci's whole team (his P.A., OR nurse, anesthesiologist, etc.). We often hear such bad things about doctors and the medical system but my experience was fantastic. Dr. Carminucci's surgery has changed my life for the best.
