Dr. Cahan is a wonderful Dr. My mother and I have been patients for more than 20 years. He spends as much time as you need , and explains in full detail what you need. He is one of the most compassionate surgeon. I worked not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

- Anthony Cahan, MD, Chief of Breast Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital, has been practicing medicine for more than 35 years. He attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College and completed his residency at New York Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. Today, his practice is focused exclusively on breast concerns, diagnoses, cancers and treatments. He has been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly for more than ten consecutive years.Dr. Cahan wrote a landmark aesthetic and oncologic paper on the use of the Box-To-X incision and closure, a then-novel technique for a skin-sparing mastectomy. This method has now been embraced by the medical community and used many times over the years, yielding impeccable results for patients.In his three decades as a surgeon, Dr. Cahan has participated in revolutionary clinical trials, keeping a close eye on scientific developments in breast care and adapting his practice according to current innovations. Because of his research findings, he's often turned to targeted chemotherapy, endocrine therapy and immunologic therapy over surgery, when possible, to deliver the best outcomes for his patients.Dr. Cahan takes a warm, personal approach to care-which is backed by the support of other surgeons, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and more, each playing a reliable, critical link in the chain of breast care offered at his practice.
