Dr. Thyagarajan treated my kid's peanut allergy. He spent a lot of time explaining the Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) process and answered all of our questions. He was honest, confident, and thoroughly explained everything. He's had so much experience with different patients, he was able to explain everything. We are almost completely finished with the process, and we could not be happier. It has completely changed the stress level in our family, especially for our kid. Previously, a birthday party was stressful when the other kids were eating, and our kid was scared to eat anything that may have touched a peanut. Now that fear is gone, its totally different to just avoid actual peanut products. We use to worry that another kid would eat peanut butter, then touch our kid, but now she eats 3 peanuts a day and we know something so minor wouldn't be a problem. We could not be happier with this process and its been a huge stress taken away from our family. We cannot recommend enough!!!!

- Dr Thyagarajan (or &ldquoDr T.&rdquo) was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. He lived in Northern VA during his residency and completed his fellowship at Duke University. He practiced Allergy/Immunology in Richmond, VA for 5 years prior to returning to northern VA in 2015. He earned the esteemed honor of being named a Top Doc multiple times. His interest in Allergy and Immunology stems from the science of the immune system and the ability to treat both adults and children. He has a special interest in environmental allergy, asthma and food allergy. He has numerous publications and abstracts in the fields of allergy and immunology.
