About Me

Care Philosophy
  • Dr Barbish chose medicine because of its unique ability to help and potentially change a patient’s life for the better. He considers gastroenterology, in particular, to be a great combination of analysis and expertise. It allows him to be a problem solver, but one that requires hands on expertise. A perfect blend of patient interaction and procedural time. He believes that those patient interactions make each day different in some way and provide him with an opportunity to learn something new each day. Dr Barbish enjoys passing on his medical experience to other physicians, medical students and staff. He is grateful for the opportunity to be involved in medical education at the University of Michigan and Indiana University.
