About Me

Care Philosophy
  • Ali Mansour, MD, is Lung Transplant Pulmonologist at Montefiore and Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical focus is interventional pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine and vascular medicine.In 2000, Dr. Mansour received his Bachelor of Chemistry at the American University of Beirut. He continued his studies at this institution and received his Doctor of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Mansour began his postgraduate training in 2004 with a yearlong internship at the American University of Beirut Medical College. His training then took him to Kansas, where he completed an internship in internal medicine in 2006 at the Kansas University Medical School. Following this, he completed a residency in internal medicine in 2008 at the same institution. Dr. Mansour then completed six months of training in pulmonary transplant at Baylor College of Medicine in 2011. In 2012, he completed a sleep fellowship at the University Hospital Case Western Medical Center.Dr. Mansour&rsquos research focuses on lung transplant and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support during critical illnesses from severe lung disease or right heart failure. He is also interested in lung cancer staging and advanced airway procedure to improve and prolong survival. His work has been published in a number of peer-reviewed publications, and he has been an invited speaker to numerous national oral presentations.Dr. Mansour is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Thoracic Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.
