  • Ali Mahdavi, MD, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist at MedStar Health. He provides comprehensive care for women diagnosed with cancers of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and vulva. Dr Mahdavi also performs complex surgical procedures for non-cancerous gynecologic conditions, with a focus on techniques to optimize surgical outcomes, quality of life and faster recovery after surgery. Dr Mahdavi is one of just a few physicians in the U.S. who completed both a minimally invasive surgery fellowship as well as comprehensive gynecologic oncology training. He offers both robotic and conventional laparoscopic approaches for the surgical treatment of gynecological cancers.
