I researched for 6+ months for a doctor & method to remove my fibroids (6-inches, cantaloupe size, & 3 more smaller.) I looked into focused ultrasound, but, my fibroid was too large. I consulted with a NYC hospital, but, they wanted to do BOTH a UFE (uterine fibroid embolization) & myomectomy & in the SAME day. Made no sense to me, other than $$$ for the 1st UFE doctor, who recommended the 2nd myo. surgeon. What I liked about Dr. Ghomi:- Saw me in person versus video appointments. Personable, knowledgeable, competent, & confident with myomectomy, & preserving my *female parts*. Open to questions, explained things in fairly good detail. Available to perform the surgery sooner than other hospitals, that I contacted. Great processing my insurance & were in-network. Cindy & Jenny, the nurses/assistants, were also very knowledgeable; receptive via phone. Short recovery time of 1 wk - 4 for full. Clean/nice hospitals. Plentiful parking. Let me go home early vs. spend night. Picture. :-D
