I spent years going to multiple doctors for widespread pain, each time being told it was tendonitis or strain and to do the RICE regimen. Nobody ever seemed to look at my body as a whole, each time choosing to only pay attention to one body part at a time. By the time I saw Dr Umphrey, I had resigned myself to the fate of progressively worsening pain for the rest of my life. I saw him primarily for back pain but he did a comprehensive exam and diagnosed me with a condition that explained all of the pain symptoms I had. He treated me with compassion, understanding, and respect. He was thorough in explaining his treatment plan, which seems to be working. Dr Umphrey gave me new hope that life could be better. I really can't thank him enough.
