I reluctantly pursued the search for a surgeon to help w knee issues. My 3rd try found me in Salinas w Dr. Doornick. The immediate difference from my other appointments was that he actually LISTENED before he made the assessment. He was thorough, specific and patient while addressing all my concerns. The surgery was a great success, recovery exceptional and his expertise left me w a minor scar compared to other patients I had observed. Do yourself a favor a trust Dr Doornick and SVMH.

About Me
Care Philosophy

The purpose of my practice is to provide state-of-the-art Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine care in an efficient and compassionate fashion. I believe that new technologies combined with traditional craftsmanship are the keys to successful surgery. I am board certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. My experience includes thousands of shoulder arthroscopies, thousands of knee arthroscopies, and a couple thousand knee replacements. Minimally invasive techniques are used in all the surgical procedures I perform so that my patients may recover as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Technology and craftsmanship are important but not everything. Compassion is also a key ingredient to good medical care. This is often lost by the time we become surgical specialists. Patients tell me that they appreciate my bedside manner. I hope you find the same is true for you.
