Dr. Seifer's Background
Alan Seifer, M.D., is a family medicine physician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Seifer has been in private practice for more than three decades, and specializes in wellness and prevention and the management of chronic illness. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed a family practice residency at the University of Miami. A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, with added qualifications in Sports Medicine, Dr. Seifer is a former chairman of the department of family medicine at Baptist Hospital. He is a voluntary faculty member of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Florida International University's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Seifer also is involved in sports medicine, serving as a tournament physician for the Sony Ericsson Tennis Championships in Key Biscayne and a Special Olympics volunteer physician. He has been a USA Boxing ringside physician and a USA Olympics physician at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center. He also serves as a volunteer physician in Haiti.
