Since developing autoimmune hepatitis, I have been seeing Dr. Wakil and his NP Marice Thomas for over a year. They have provided amazing expertise and care. They quickly arrived at the correct diagnosis and developed a plan for my recovery. Dr. Wakil and the team at CPMC provided hepatology services through an office here in Humboldt county from 1995 until 2022. As a local nurse practitioner I was always happy that I could refer patients with liver disease to them. Although they don't have an office here any longer, they do provide services to Humboldt county residents! They have an office in Santa Rosa and they see patients by telemedicine. I was very fortunate to have access to them.
