Care Philosophy

Dr. Mullen is focused on hearing about your unique experience and utilizing what you state your needs are in helping her determine which methods of intervention to utilize. Some of the methods utilized, but not limited to, are: CBT, Mindfulness, Gottman Institute Couples therapy Methods, Solution-Focused Strategies, Motivational Interviewing, Strategic Interventions and Life Coaching methods.
You will be treated with compassion and respectfully. Your phone calls or text messages will be returned within 24 hours. Dr. Mullen wants you to succeed, so she will educate you as needed in effort to empower you to be able to succeed at making the changes you want to make.
As of March 2020, Colleen is meeting with her clients through telehealth delivery systems. This also allows her to expand her reach to clients outside of the San Diego area to all parts of California.
