I’m so pleased with the nutritionist C. Kansangra. She’s extremely knowledgable, kind as well as engaging. She shared in depth; I truly appreciate her insight on biochemistry. In general the dietitian plan works best for me.

Care Philosophy

Patients are referred in one of three ways:
1) Agency clients - usually DDA requires them to be seen so the agency will refer for clients to be assessed. Staff and/or patients need to be educated on the importance of good nutrition. Educating staff is important in the management with residential homes clients as they are the ones buying the foods and preparing the meals.
2) Private patients - either referred by a physician or may search for a dietitian on their own. Most people have some knowledge about nutrition when they come for a consult. Motivation is the key! Making the connection of the clinical condition, their weight, blood work, dietary intake and lifestyle indicates the change required. Followed by suggesting practical ways to make the necessary changes encourages patients to gain control of their lives and envisioning change is possible.
3) Group Teaching - increasing awareness about the importance of choosing good nutrition to prevent chronic diseases.
