I've been wearing contacts and glasses since I was about 15, so I've had a lot of eye exams. Catherine R. Murphy gave me the best, most thorough eye exam I've ever had. Dr. Murphy wants to know what you're trying to achieve with your vision correction, how many hours per day you wear the lenses or glasses, if it's for small print, distance, close-up, day or night wear, reading only, casual use and all sorts of other details. No other optometrist has EVER asked me questions like she does. It's such a simple, common sense thing to do. Dr. Murphy should definitely be teaching her methods to other ODs. If you want contact lenses she even asks how much you're comfortable spending and tries products in that range. There's no high pressure sales pitch after the exam. She'll give you a copy of your prescription, no problem. My exam was at her office in Target on Hwy 280. It was an eye-opening experience I highly recommend.
