I had the privilege of working with Dr. Betsy for the past 2 years. She not only possessed a deep understanding of Asian/ immigrant culture (something I was specifically looking for) but also helped me in my relationship and developing my self esteem. Her expertise and compassionate approach left an indelible impact on my life, transforming the way I navigate and nurture my relationships. Dr. Betsy is genuine and caring, creating a safe and supportive environment where I could explore the complexities of my interpersonal connections. I felt heard, understood, and supported throughout our sessions, which allowed me to explore deeper aspects of my relationships and gain a greater sense of self-awareness. With her guidance, I was able to develop effective communication strategies that has greatly improved my relationship with my partner. About Me
Care Philosophy

I help clients develop lifelong skills to manage struggles that were previously thought to be helpless.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative effort between client and myself. Education is a large part of treatment with me, because I believe that progress can only take place when one can understand who they are, and how they relate to their world.
While I've worked with many different populations with many different struggles, I do not treat particular diagnoses — rather, I treat life difficulties. I'm interested in discovering what's not working in a client's life versus fitting symptoms to a diagnosis criteria.
I work with teenage and adult difficulties including life transitions, interpersonal relationships (family, romantic), low self-worth, poor boundaries, over-stress, feeling "stuck", breakups, and infidelity.
