I intended to see Dr. Birkby, but was put on Ame's schedule. Ame treated me for adult acne vulgaris. She suggested a 3-prong approach of 2 topicals (am/pm) and an oral antibiotic. This worked like a charm. One of the topicals, tretenoin, wasn't approved by my insurance and is very expensive without (almost $300 for 1 month supply). She quickly contacted my insurance company, wrote the justification, and they approved it. I occasionally get cystic acne and she told me anytime I needed a cortisone shot into the cyst to call and she'd squeeze me in her schedule anytime. I asked her about a treatment for hemorrhoids, and again, she gave me a topical medicine that effectively treated the issue. Last but not least, Ame is very personable. That always makes it easier to trust and work with a medical provider. I have already recommend her to a loved one.
