And the Microbiome Project taught us a lot about the bacteria that live in our bodies.
Probiotics contain some of the same bacteria, like lactobacillus. And there's a fair amount of exciting work suggesting
that modifying the microbiome by ingesting a probiotic
may have impact on disease areas. So this is actively being studied for a variety of conditions, including kidney stones,
including the confusion that develops when people with severe liver disease, including
the very disabling diarrhea that people get after a long course of antibiotics
called c-diff diarrhea. And so that's another area of real excitement now--
