First of all, I'm going to use the word spa. And so to me, anything to do with your nails, your hair, your skin, a facial--
as long as it's not a deep chemical peel, but something very, very superficial-- may be OK, as long as the person that's treating you
is a certified, trained aesthetician. There's thing's called hydrofacials.
There's also some what we call, "laser lights," which will not burn your skin. An aesthetician, in most states, can actually perform that.

Sometimes in these offices, by the way, you're going to have an excellent trained either RN, nurse, nurse practitioner, or a physician's
assistant. In that scenario, with always a doctor nearby, you can go ahead and do that. But I would not recommend that in a medi spa.
