Bio
My name is Wendy Trunz, and in September 2011, I joined the Transformation Nation Challenge believing for the first time in my entire life, I could win my battle with my weight. I have been overweight most of my life. There was a short time in high school and in my early 20’s where I was athletic and fit, but it was only for a few years, and became a very distant memory.
I am 47 years old, and have spent my life taking care of everyone else but myself...students, family, aging and ailing parents, my children...and a nephew who moved in with us after leaving his broken family. My mother battles diabetes, asthma, and has constant breathing problems. I have to inject her with insulin multiple times a day. We also just went through a few years of chronic heart problems with my father, which finally led to a pacemaker being put in a little over a year ago. I’ve watched my parents age and become “old” quickly due to their lifestyle, and I knew that I had to do something so that I would not end up like them. I want to live my best life with my husband, children, family, and age gracefully with strength and optimal health, and as I have transformed my life and found all of that through this challenge….I want to inspire others to do the same.
