Bio
As a registered dietitian with 16 years of health care experience, she focuses her attention on writing features covering health, wellness, nutrition, cooking, wine, restaurant reviews, and entertainment, as well as developing original, tested recipes with nutritional analysis for publication.
In addition, Sharon has become a passionate writer about food and environmental issues, publishing a number of features on agriculture, local and organic foods, eco-friendly culinary practices, sustainability, and food safety.
Over 750 of Sharon's features have been published in a variety of publications including Prevention, Oxygen, LA Times, Cooking Smart, Delicious Living, Food Product Design, Today's Dietitian, and CULINOLOGY. She has contributed for several books, including Food & Cultural Issues for the Culinary, Hospitality and Nutrition Professions (Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Inc. 2009).
