I purchased a 17 lb. watermelon 1.) because it was a great sale, and 2.) because we were having some friends over for a cookout. Well, a few friends had to cancel, then another friend brought watermelon to share! So, the 17 pounder sat in the fridge untouched.

I got this salad recipe from my aunt. After I had this salad I never purchased salad dressing from a store again.
It's simple! Take your favorite dark greens... I usually mix red leaf lettuce and fresh spinach. Sometimes I'll throw in arugula if I have it on hand. Next slice up a couple strawberries...Full Post
