Bio

With a Master's in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, I not only enjoy instructing and personal training, but I also write for a number of online sites to reach a greater amount of inquisitive minds.

With all the media and conflicting information on how to achieve a healthier life, I try to keep it simple. In addition to personal training at a Health and Wellness facility, I work in Corporate Fitness, so I truly understand there is a work-life balance that needs to be made. This realm is made up of busy working parents who all look to me to help them find what I already know they have deep inside; and that's the desire to be active and really enjoy their life’s potential.

I regularly teach kickboxing, step aerobics, bootcamps and resistance training. Additionally, I have trained a variety of clients, from the young fitness guru, to clients with a variety of orthopedic injuries and disabilities. While working on Health Promotion programs within the corporate world, participants enjoy my passion for health and empathy for demanding lifestyles.

I’m a firm believer in functional training. That is, mimicking everyday movement while exercising. I tend to avoid stationary gym equipment and create innovative workouts. I develop many programs with the mindset that no gym is available – this opens up a world of possibility with little space, and virtually no equipment necessary.

The client-trainer relationship is a valuable, intimate relationship and I'd be honored to share that with you. Contact me to get started!

How do I motivate myself to walk for fitness?

Walking is one of the simplest ways to add exercise to your day. Like anything else you may do for an extended period of time, it can use some spicing up.

If you belong to a fitness center, the treadmill can help you track your mileage and pace. These numbers are a great starting point to work from.
