Jennifer Chaikin

Bio

Jennifer Chaikin joined Gannett Education (Nurse.com) as executive director of educational initiatives in 2011. She is responsible for managing the educational design, content creation, and faculty for the educational initiatives and other live educational events for Gannett Education.

Chaikin has an extensive background in both pediatric critical care and nursing professional development throughout her 20-year nursing career. She has been a clinical nurse educator for various facilities, most recently Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C.

Chaikin is certified by the AACN in pediatric critical care, and by the ANCC in nursing professional development. Currently, she is past president of the Mid-Atlantic Nursing Staff Development Organization, an affiliate of the National Nursing Staff Development Organization. Jennifer currently serves as an accreditation appraiser for the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Chaikin is an accomplished nursing author and editor, and most recently wrote the Ethics and Legal Principles chapter for the National Nursing Staff Development Organization Core Curriculum for Nursing Professional Development. She has frequently presented on topics related to her expertise at local, regional and national conferences and on national television. She holds a dual masters in nursing and in healthcare administration, with a concentration in nursing education.
