Uma Pisharody

Bio

Uma Pisharody, M.D., FAAP,  is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Swedish, where she specializes in the care of children with diagnosed or suspected diseases or disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Pisharody is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.  She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.  At Swedish, Dr. Pisharody makes the patient the center of everything that she does; everything is based around the patient and the patient's families' needs.  She strives to make diagnoses based on clinical judgment and experience, using diagnostic tests wisely, as a complementary adjunct and to tailor treatment approaches to meet each child's individual needs.
