Dr. Rafferty was born and raised in Kearns, Utah, and earned her MD at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. In addition to her medical school training, she spent a month in China studying traditional Chinese medicine.
She completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Arizona, where she worked on a project aimed at decreasing childhood obesity. While there Dr. Rafferty also served as the resident representative for the American Academy of Pediatrics and was trained by world experts in Asthma management.
Dr. Rafferty is interested in decreasing childhood obesity, and enjoys working with children who suffer from asthma. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.
