Dr. Sheri D. Pruitt, Ph.D. is a writer, speaker, and consultant in the fields of health and behavior. She has more than 50 professional publications in the areas of behavioral medicine and health psychology and is a popular lecturer and key note speaker on these topics.
She is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Director of Behavioral Science Integration for Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California. Her previous positions include Faculty at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine and Scientist for the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland where she was the principal writer for two WHO books outlining global strategies of care for chronic conditions. She recently co-authored her second consumer-oriented book entitled, “Living SMART: Five Essential Skills to Change your Health Habits Forever.” Dr. Pruitt is an intervention designer and product developer, integrating behavioral science and new media technology to improve health and health care. Her products include Kaiser Permanente’s highly successful Online Health Coach program.
