I have practiced general dentistry providing direct patient care for 33 years in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee. I provide a diverse range of dental services. I am and have been heavily involved in community and civic activities over my career. Presently I serve on committees on the national level for the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry and am on the board of a not for profit organization that focuses on delivering comprehensive dental care to the working poor.

    Dentures tend to fit more poorly over time because without the roots of teeth in the bone, the jawbones shrink rapidly over time. In fact the jawbones continue to shrink for the rest of your life. Sometimes the denture can be relined and made to fit better; sometimes a new denture will be necessary.
