At Texas Children's Hospital Patricia Heale operates in the five domains of the Clinical Nurse Specialist; advanced practioner consultant, educator, researcher and leader. Theses five domains interact to influence outcomes through implementation and monitoring of quality and safety initiatives. Patricia Heale has also educated nursing students as adjunct faculty for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She implemented a change in the postpartum model of care to Family Centered Maternity Care. She has also written content for the patient-centered Bereavement Program and the Mother and Newborn Discharge packets. Patricia participated in the STTI Maternal Leadership Academy and in the Chiron Mentoring Program through STTI.
