Bio
Dr. Natalia Rost is a vascular neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she serves as associate director of the Acute Stroke Service. She is also an assistant professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rost received her M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine (cum laude) and completed her internship in medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2003. She served as Chief Neurology Resident during her training at the Partners Neurology Residency program, and she joined the MGH neurology staff after completing a fellowship in vascular and critical care neurology at the Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's Hospitals. Dr. Rost has dedicated her professional career to caring for stroke patients and reducing their burden of post-stroke disability through creative approaches to clinical investigation. Her research interests and expertise are in the field of neuroimaging of cerebrovascular disease, genetics and genomics of stroke, and outcome prediction in patients with acute stroke. Dr. Rost is a co-author of the MGH Handbook of Neurology and serves as vice chair of the American Academy of Neurology's Science Committee and as the assistant editor of the journal Stroke.
