Nancy Sharts-Hopko has worked and taught in the area of women's health for 35 years. She has over 140 publications, and her research has focused on women's perceived well-being during health transitions such as menopause, hysterectomy, HIV infection, international migration, and disability. Since 1992 she has served as a member of and later as consultant to two US Food and Drug Administration Advisory Committees focused on women's health and fertility drugs, and OB/GYN devices.
