My career experience has been as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with experience in long-term care and geriatric primary care. I am a 2009-2011 John A. Hartford Foundation Building Academic Geriatric Nursing (BAGNC) Capacity Scholar. I currently co-teach the Gerontological Nursing course/ clinical in the Accelerated Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at Duke University School of Nursing, and my research focus is alleviating mealtime difficulties for older persons with dementia. I am board certified as a Gerontological Registered Nurse and a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC).
