Mary Kelley

Bio

Mary Ann Kelley has been teaching for over 20 years and has been working in nursing for over 25 years. She received her BSN from Mississippi University for Women, Columbus, MS in 1983; her MSN from University of Mississippi at the Medical Center in Maternal-Newborn Clinical Nurse Specialty in 1989; and her DSN from University of Alabama at Birmingham in nursing education in 2002. Her research interests include maternity, women’s health, health promotion, minority health, and early detection of breast cancer. Dr. Kelley has received several grants to examine church based breast health educational programs in rural Alabama and Mississippi. In Sigma Theta Tau International, Mary Ann has served as chapter president, regional coordinator, publicity committee, and awards committees.  Mary Ann has been a previous speaker at the national and international levels.
