Dr. Williams graduated from Yale University and earned his Medical Degree with honors in 1982 from George Washington University. Following an internship and residency at the University of North Carolina (UNC), Dr. Williams completed his research and clinical cardiology Fellowship at UNC. Dr. Williams is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology; he currently practices in all specialties. In addition to his work with Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, PA, Dr. Williams is currently President Elect of the American Heart Association Board. Prior to joining Cardiac Associates of North Jersey, PA, he served as Chief of Cardiology for the Veterans Affairs Hospital in East Orange, NJ. His clinical interests and expertise are in hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular research and general cardiology. Dr. Williams practices at the following hospitals: Valley Health System, Chilton Memorial Hospital and Bergen Regional Hospital.
Dr. Williams has numerous publications as author and co-author with content appearing in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation and Ethnicity and Disease.
