Dr. Manvi P. Maker is a board certified ophthalmologist at NorthShore University HealthSystem. She specializes in diseases of the retina, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Dr. Maker is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and the Associate Program Director for the Ophthalmology Residency Program at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. In addition, she practiced as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the New York University School of Medicine before joining NorthShore. Dr. Maker has been active in clinical research and trials for improved drug treatments, enhanced treatment techniques and identification of disease pathology. These efforts have led to authoring several medical book chapters, peer-reviewed publications and national ophthalmology conference presentations.
